Site Redesign Questions

Well after playing with my current blog design for months I'm ready to move along to another design. So this post has two main functions. One to warn you that I'm going to be playing with other templates so at times the blog will look horrible as I work out the bugs. The other function is to let you have your say on what you would like to see or what you currently dislike about the blog.

So if you dislike where the menu or links are let me know. If you like a particular template you have seen elsewhere also let me know. Do you like the three column format or do you prefer a two column format? I'm take suggestions via comments on this post or by email at candian.dream.free.at.45[at]gmail.com. Feel free to be brutally honest about everything as I'm not really attached to much of anything.

Thanks for your help,
CD

I like the 2 column personally since I think it looks less crowded.

Mike,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm either going to go more narrow side columns for three or move back to just two.

CD, If you're going to change your blog, I would take it off the blogger platform completely and move onto your own host and domain name. Let me know if you need some help if you decide to do so.

I agree with MDG on this one

Frank,

I've been emailing FT and I'm taking the jump to Wordpress. So stay tuned this could be interesting.

I just wanted to comment on how much I enjoy the camaraderie between financial bloggers. A few bloggers have recently asked about redesigns and feedbacks on their blogs and I love the fact that other bloggers have given their honest opinion and even (in FT's case) offered to help out.

Good on you all and keep up the excellent work! There are at least 5-6 of you that I read regularly.

One other suggestion is to have a 'recent comments' list in one of the sidebars.

If you are moving to your own domain then make sure you enable the comment feed.

I'd offer my help too - but unfortunately I'm not very good with the technical side of blogging.

Telly,

Thanks. It is rather like having a little family of like minded people.

Mike,

Good idea. I'll make sure to write that one down.
